Muitas pessoas dentro da WWE estão a especular que CM Punk poderá ter firmado novo contrato com a WWE ou ter assinado uma extensão do anterior, no entanto nada é oficial e somente algumas pessoas dentro da WWE sabem a sua situação na WWE.

Chris Jericho falou no twitter sobre o Money in the Bank e onde disse que o trabalho de John Cena não pode ser esquecido, eis o que disse Jericho: "As great as Punk was and is during the whole angle, don't discount Cena's work in all this," he wrote. "Contrary to what some say Cena is a GREAT worker."

Segundo a F4W, o ambiente no hotel onde estavam hospedadas as estrelas da WWE era um ambiente igual ao que se vive numa Wrestlemania. Após o PPV o sentimento era de regozijo pois todos sentiram que o evento foi o melhor show de wrestling do ano.

A WWE publicou no seu site que em virtude do beatdown de Mark Henry com uma cadeira sobre Big Show, o gigante poderá ter de ficar de fora dos ringues por um período até quatro meses.

O Money in the Bank que aconteceu na Allstate Arena em Rosemont, Illinois teve uma lotação esgotada de 14.815 ruidosos fãs que segundo vários relatos a euforia do público era possível ouvir-se de fora do pavilhão.

O dark match do Money in the Bank viu os WWE Tag Team Champions David Otunga e Michael McGillicutty perderem para Vladimir Kozlov e Santino Marella num non-title math

O PPV viu duas mudanças de título:

Christian tornou-se o novo campeão do Mundial após ter vencido Randy Orton por desqualificação que lhe aplicou um low blow e segundo a estipulação presente no combate, Orton perderia o título se isso acontecesse.

CM Punk derrotou John Cena e conquistou o WWE Title, criando uma enorme expectativa sobre o seu futuro na companhia

Alberto Del Rio ganhou uma title shot ao título da WWE e Daniel Bryan a hipótese de lutar pelo World Heavyweight Title pois foram os vencedores dos RAW e Smackdown Money in the Bank Ladder match respectivamente.

CM Punk apresentou no PPV uma nova t-shirt que foi posta à venda nos stands de merchandise na arena e ficou esgotada numa questão de minutos. A t-shirt tem escrito "the Best in the World", July 17th, 2011 e Chicago. Eis uma imagem da nova t-shirt.


Colt Cabana, melhor amigo de CM Punk e Ace Steel, treinador de CM Punk estavam na primeira fila e por várias vezes CM Punk interagiu com eles durante o main-event contra John Cena. Cabana recebeu cânticos durante o PPV. Quer Cabana, quer Steel estiveram presentes no backstage antes do PPV começar.

Vince McMahon chegou ontem à arena em Chicago com uma proposta de contrato para CM Punk e estava determinado que Punk continue na companhia e o plano é que Punk seja main-eventer no SummerSlam num rematch contra Cena ou contra o vencedor do Money in the Bank, Alberto Del Rio em alguma estipulação.

Durante o Money in the Bank, Paul Heyman quebrou finalmente o silêncio e falou sobre CM Punk a sua promo no RAW, eis o que disse Heyman:

"It's been 20 days since @CMPunk turned the wrestling world and WWE Universe completely upside down w/ his performance. It's not what @CMPunk said, it's the realism with which his promo was delivered. HE felt it. So did millions of fans, too. @CMPunk is not the voice of the voiceless, he's the voice of today's generation! @CMPunk is cool and bad ass, yet he's a man of principle. He translates to grownups and kids alike. I'M A @CMPunk GUY!"

De acordo com várias fontes presentes no backstage do Money in the Bank, ninguém do balneário sabia qual era seria o final do combate do main-event John Cena vs. CM Punk. De acordo com um lutador no backstage, durante o combate, todos sem excepção estavam colados ao ecrã, referindo-se a um “it was a total sellout at the monitor!”

Pelo que se diz até mesmo os produtores (antigos agentes) estavam todos entusiasmados com o que viam e estavam de pé a ver o combate. O único que sabia o final para além de Vince McMahon era John Laurinaitis que foi com ele para o ringue. Mais ninguém sabia o como seria o fim do combate.

Alberto Del Rio a meio do combate foi chamado por Vince McMahon que lhe explicou ao de leve ao que se ia passar, isto estando já Cena e Punk a combater no ringue.

Segundo a WON, Vince McMahon após o combate entre Randy Orton e Christian estava aos berros em pleno backstage para que Orton repetir-se o RKO em Christian na mesa de comendadores e esta partisse.

Após o Money in the Bank ter saído do ar, Vince McMahon mostrava-se em choque com o que aconteceu até finalmente decidir subir a rampa. Chegado lá acima ele parou e esperou por John Laurinaitis que vinha para o backstage ajudado pelos árbitros mas Vince depressa afastou os árbitros e deu um murro a Laurinaitis para depois entrar no backstage.

O site da WWE está a passar a ideia que John Cena foi despedido e assim vender que a estipulação do combate vai ser cumprida.

Nenhum lutador saiu lesionado do Money in the Bank e assim todos os spots de lesão criados não passaram disso mesmo spots.

Chavo Guerrero que no Sábado lançou duras críticas a John Cena, comentou o Money in the Bank de ontem e novamente não deixou elogios a Cena apesar de elogiar o combate. Eis o que Chavo disse no twitter:

Some of u are asking me to eat my words. I'll give credit where credit is due. Cena & Punk DELIVERED! But why should we be wondering if Cena will show up? He is the highest paid wrestler in the industry & the backbone of the WWE... He should deliver EVERY night! No question! We Never said this about Taker or Michaels. U knew they would deliver every time they stepped foot in the ring. There was never a lazy Accusation with those 2. So what u should be saying is. It's about time Cena gave the fans there moneys worth!

I'm very happy for Punk...If he's resigning or not, he deserves it.Nobody has lot a fire in the WWE like that since Austin and I guarantee Cena makes 3-4 times if notMore than Punk. If u make that much, u should deliver every night, no if, ands, or buts! But that's just me, weather I was making Mysterio Quit or putting over a little person, I gave it my all every night. Not for the money but cuz I have pride in my work and I respect this biz & the fans cuz they are what matters.

There's always some1 seeing u for the first time & for the last time every night! That's how every Wrestler should view this biz. Nit as a stepping stone to Hollywood but as way to deliver to the ppl who pay there hard earned money to Watch them every night!!!
