A grande notícia desta semana do wrestling independente é o regresso de Kevin Steen nas gravações da Ring of Honor. Com efeito, Steen irá combater contra Steve Corino no Final Battle 2011 que acontecerá a 23 de Dezembro em Nova Iorque. Jimmy Jacobs será o árbitro convidado e Jim Cornette estará junto do ringue.
No próximo fim-de-semana acontecem grandes shows por parte da Dragon Gate USA e da Chikara. No que toca há DGUSA são três shows e onde se destaca a defesa do título por parte de YAMATO. No caso da Chikara serão dois shows, sendo que num show acontecerá o anual Cibernético e no show seguinte será o tão aguardado iPPV da companhia o High Noon que irá coroar o primeiro campeão da Chikara, sendo que a lutar pelo título estarão Mike Quackenbush e Eddie Kingston. Os card dos cinco shows são os seguintes:
