No Domingo passado a Ring of Honor apresentou no Hammerstein Ballroom em Nova Iorque um dos seus maiores shows anuais, o “Best in the World 2012: Hostage Crisis”. A liderar o card estava a defesa do ROH Championship por parte de Kevin Steen contra Davey Richards num combate sem desqualificações. A equipa dos anos 90 da WWE, The Headbangers trabalharam no iPPV da ROH, Best in the World sendo os mascarados Guardians of Truth tendo sido derrotados por Jay e Mark Briscoe no combate de abertura e salvaram Truth Martini de um Briscoe Doomsday Device após o combate.
Adam Cole foi quem saiu em pior estado do iPPV ao sofrer uma grande laceração na boca. Inicialmente reportou-se que ele tinha perdido dois dentes num golpe mais forte de Kyle O'Reilly mas afinal foi somente um corte. Kyle O'Reilly também cortou o dedo no golpe.
